While Trump’s inaugural committee has essentially turned event into a giant fundraiser where donors can buy their way in to spend some private time with the US President-elect and his wife, Melania Trump, over a private dinner, its not whether the Ambani couple have paid for the privilege or have received a formal invitation from Donald Trump

As per a flier titled ‘Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee Benefits’, donors who have donated $1 million or raised $2 million for the Trump-Vance campaign will have a chance to rub shoulders with the most powerful couple in the world– Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump– at a special event on January 19, 2024, a day ahead of the January 20 Trump inauguration ceremony.

According to a New York Times report, the dinner is being touted as ‘summit’ of the inaugural ceremony festivities, where some of the elite donors will also receive six tickets to Trump’s inauguration ceremony (swearing-in) on January 20. The flier also confirmed that First Lady Melania Trump will also be a part of the inaugural ceremonies

Trump inauguration to feature big names from business world

Inauguration Day will feature a number of high-profile attendees, and the Indian business tycoons will be one of the most notable names on the guest list, which also features names like Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg, along with several other tech moguls from across the pond, including French billionaire and tech entrepreneur Xavier Niel and his wife.

The Ambanis are also expected to attend a black-tie reception Monday, which is being co-hosted by Mark Zuckerberg and Republican mega-donor Miriam Adelson to celebrate the inauguration.

The QUAD foreign ministers including India’s External Affairs minister S Jaishankar will also attend the inauguration, while Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya has also confirmed plans to be there.

Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on January 20, his second term in office, after securing an astounding electoral victory in the November 2024 US-Presidential Elections
